A tall immersive piece with a study in black and white where light and shadow have been stretched and liquefied. The composition centers on a bright, ribbon-like seam that snakes down the middle, breaking the surrounding darkness into glossy, almost metallic planes. Around that seam shapes fold and smear into one another, like reflections in oil or the wake left by something that just passed through water. Archival Giclee print on museum canvass.
